I’ve spent more than 35 years in banking and financial services – most of it at the intersection of technology and institutional finance, and most of that asking why the industry builds things the way it does.
My current focus is Digital Banking for ANZ Institutional Bank, where I lead the development of platforms and capabilities that help large corporates and institutions do their banking differently.
Before that, I built two of the most widely-used host-to-host banking platforms in Australia — and learned, twice, that the people who understand both the business and the technology are the ones who actually make things work.
I write here when I have something worth saying about banking, technology, AI, and the machinery of large organisations. I also publish on LinkedIn, where I write more frequently on the same themes.
I hold an MBA from Deakin University and have completed executive programs at MIT Sloan and Yale School of Management.
The views expressed here are my own and do not represent the views of ANZ or any other organisation.
